3. Church-wide Mission Projects

Concluding the End of April – Donations for Deep Well’s Food Pantry
Contributions are to be placed in the wooden well in the lobby of the Family Life Center. We hope to fill this ‘well’ to overflowing.

Suggested and most desired items requested are: instant mashed potatoes, 100% juices, applesauce, canned stews, macaroni and cheese boxes, spaghetti sauce, cereal, rice, jelly, peanut butter, hamburger helper products, oatmeal, pasta, canned goods (green beans, corn soups, tuna, chicken, beans, fruit), and granola bars.

Monetary donations are also acceptable for Deep Well. Checks are to be written to First Baptist Church Hilton Head Island and marked clearly for ‘Deep Well’ so it can be credited properly.

For May – Mother’s Day Honoree and “God’s Gift” Baby Bottle Collection for the Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Low Country
In order to help the Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Low Country fulfill their vision to enable women in the Beaufort & Jasper County communities to freely and responsibly choose to carry unplanned pregnancies to term, the Missions Committee has chosen to support them through their Baby Bottle Collection Campaign. The Missions Committee will be distributing baby bottles beginning today to be filled with cash or checks as donations to the Pregnancy Center and Clinic.

New this year is the opportunity to recognize someone special with your donation. The Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Low Country will mail a card to the honoree of your choice in time for Mother’s Day if your donation is returned to the church by next Sunday, May 3rd. Include the name and address of the honoree with your donation. Donations can also be made in memory of someone special. Otherwise, return your filled Baby Bottle to the Family Life Center by Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th.

4. Women's Connection Spring Meeting - All Women of the Church are Invited!
Tuesday, May 5, 6:30 PM, in the Family Life Center. Ladies, join us for an evening of Friendly Fellowship. You do not have to be part of Connection to attend. This event is for all women of the church to get together for a social gathering. Come get to know someone new. Invite a friend.
Please bring a salad or “square shaped” dessert to share. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided. Call Paulette Gardner at 843-785-4478 to make your reservation. We’d like to hear that you would join us no later than Friday, May 1st.

5. Annual Missions Offering Ends the April 30
Our Annual Missions Offering Collections continue. The final total collected from November 2014 thru April 2015 will be divided with 50% given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, 25% given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions, and 25% retained by the church to be used for local missions as designated by our Missions Committee.
